I am writing to invite you to participate in the Charles L. Sommers Alumni Association, Inc.’s Crossing Portages three-year giving campaign for 2011 – 2013. 

The spirit of "The Far Northland" continues to resonate throughout the Association and for all of those who participate at the Northern Tier; the generosity of alumni like you has allowed us to continue to support for the mission and programs of the Northern Tier National High Adventure Program. The quality of our programs depends upon the financial support of our members.

Yes!  Please count on my support for the Charles L. Sommers Alumni Association, Inc. and their efforts to assist the Northern Tier National High Adventure Program, BSA in promoting character development and outdoor skills through wilderness canoeing and winter camping.

I will help Continue the Journey by crossing:

• Singing Brook Portage ($150, $50/year)
• Prairie Portage ($300, $100/year)
• Meadows Portage ($600, $200/year)
• Horse Portage ($1500, $500/year)
• Yum-Yum Portage ($3000, $1000/year)
• Grand Portage ($4500, $1500/year)
• "Double Packing" ($6000, $2000/year)

Designation (Optional) - Contributions support all of the activities and programs of the association. The Directors have authorized that pledges made under Crossing Portages may be specifically directed to the Northern Tier Seasonal Staff Scholarship Fund.  If that is your desire, please indicate the amount of your annual pledge that you wish to direct to that program.
